Edna was so good and checked this tutorial for me and she gave me some awesome tips to enhance the look of the Daisy.

Lets start to create a Daisy.

Step 1
Unzip the Daisy stem and save it.
Open the stem in PI - R/click - copy.
Open a new canvas - 300 X 500 - transparent.
Paste into the new canvas.
Put the stem toward the bottom.

Step 2
With the color picker, pick a green from the stem.
Click on the Path drawing tool  path tool  and choose the teardrop.

teardrop

R/click on the color where you find the green.

windowcolor

Choose 3D and bevel setting at default.  green 3d
Draw a Teardrop - resize to suit.
R/click - convert from path to image.
With the blur tool, dab it a little to get rid of the bumps.

Step 3
Duplicate the Teardrop two times.
With the transform rotate tool turn the top one a little to the left and the second one to the right.

rotate

Open the lock  open lock  of the transform tool and make the second and third teardrop narrower.
Activate the all three teardrops - r/c group - r/c duplicate twice - r/c ungroup.

Step 4
Select the first duplicated teardrop, ungroup and spread the pedals a bit wider.
Repeat with the second and third duplicated teardrops, ungroup and spreading the pedals a little wider.

Step 5
Activate the first set of green teardrops by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking on each teardrop in the Layer manager.
R/click - merge as single object.
Repeat with the other three sets.
Duplicate the last duplicated teardrop two times.

Step 6
Now drag the stem to the top in the layer manager.
With the eraser tool, eraser tool   erase part of the upper leave.

erase

Step 7
Now we are going to create the pedals.
With the Path drawing tool - 2D - color white - select the teardrop shape again.
Draw another Teardrop about the same size as before.
With the transform tool, flip it vertical.
Open the lock to make it narrower and resize it to fit under the first set of the green drops.
Give it a small shadow and use these settings.

shadow

Duplicate two times and rotate them to fit under the first set of green teardrops like this.

first three

Step 8
Activate these three pedals by holding down the shift key and clicking on each pedal.
R/click and duplicate.
Click on one of the pedals and - r/c - duplicate twice.
Close the eye of the first, third and fourth green teardrops.
Now move the pedals a bit up and fit the other two duplicates to fit.

second set

Click on each pedal (hold down the shift key) and duplicate.

Step 9
Open the eye of the third green set of teardrops - close the first, second and fourth.
Click on each pedal (hold down the shift key).
Move them a bit more up and add a few more pedals and spread them out a bit.

third set

Select all these pedals - duplicate - click on one pedal and duplicate till you have eleven pedals.
With the path-editing tool, bend the outer pedals like this.

bend

Move the fourth green Teardrop on top of these pedals and move the pedals up a bit more.

Step 10
Activate the first set of pedals and the first green drops.
R/click - merge as single object.

first set

Repeat with the second, third and fourth set using the appropriate green drops and pedals.

Step 11
With the path drawing tool, choose a flower.
I have chosen FI 07.

flower

Color white - 2D - no shadow yet.
Draw the flower.
You can use the virtual rotate to tilt it to suit.
Resize with the transform tool to fit the image to the stem.

Step 12
Click on the path drawing tool again and than on the path edit tool.
We want to give the pedals a bit of character.

path edit

Add a few nodes on each pedal you want to transform.
Now start creating.
When you are satisfied with what you have created, click out of the pathdrawing tool and deselect by clicking on an empty space in the canvas.

Step 13
With the path drawing tool - ellipse - 2D - dark blue - draw an oval to fit into the middle of the flower.

add centre

Go to Photo - add noise - Option - uniform - monochromic - 35.
While still active, hold down the shift key and click on the flower to make both alive.
R/click - merge as single object.
Add a shadow with the same settings as before.

Step 14
Now activate the stem.
With the eraser tool, erase the bottom of the stem like this.

Step 15
This is optional.
I have added a Background by opening the eye of the base image.
I used a mask which I filled with the Paintbrush - chalk and a green from the stem.
Then I have closed the eye of the base again.

Step 16
Crop the image as close as you can.
Save as ufo.

Step 17
Open the Gif Animator.
Open an existing file.
